Fabrics: |
Using the right fabrics that are high quality and have high thread counts is one of the key first steps. Sometimes it isn't easy to find a fabric that will wear well and also work for the totes. Therefore, we take significant steps to assure that we are using the right kinds of fabrics before any of the fabrication begins. |
|
Seam Stitching: |
Each of the seams that are sewn on the Zinney Lou Totes are inspected carefully and verified for strength. We make all of the products in the United States and each tote is sewn by hand. It's possible to get a knock off for less money but the knock offs can never make the claims that we can about where our products are made and how they are inspected. |
|
Scotch Guarding: |
The Zinney Lou Totes are also prepared for life's little accidents. We know that using a tote on a regular basis means that it is likely to get something spilled on that it will pick up dirt from somewhere. Because these totes are designed to be used in real life and not sit in a boutique window, we treat all of the totes with a special layer of Scotchguard(TM) to help protect the tote from life itself. |
|
The Silver Button: |
With the fabrication complete, the stitches inspected and the fabric protected one final review of the tote is completed. If the tote passes in every aspect of the inspection it is validated by stitching a silver button on the tote by Zinney Lou herself. As you look carefully at the totes you can see which ones meet her rigorous standards and bear the symbol of her inspection. When you see that silver button, you know that Zinney Lou has handled the tote herself and given it her stamp of approval. |
